Tsiki is a Xhosa traditional ceremony in which a new bride is given a piece of meat from the slaughtered sheep as a symbol of welcoming her to the family and introducing her to the family ancestors. The bride is also given a new name to be used by the in-laws. I was given the name Alunamida.
